Writer's Log. Empty Writer's Log.

I thought it would be useful for us to have a writer's log thread, where we can evaluate our own writing when we finish a "chunk". I feel this is more for our own benefit rather than a sharing thread, because it's good to evaluate. Also, you might see something in someone else's log that you can help with.

From this we can keep track of our writing habits, and outline any common denominators.

For example:

Words written:
Time spent writing:
Most difficult aspect:
Least difficult aspect:
How do you feel about it:
Future projections:

For example, with the piece I just wrote:

Words written:
I didn't count them!

Time spent writing:
80 mins

Most difficult aspect:
Thinking about the nitty-gritty aspects of the story-world I'm trying to create. Everything has to have a reason, but I find it hard to join things together neatly, without them sounding forced or too convenient to be real.

Least difficult aspect:
Actually sitting down to write it. I'm so excited about my idea that I wish I could stay up all night to do it, but I have things to do tomorrow and I can't be tired!!

How do you feel about it:
Pretty wicked, it all seems to be falling out of my brain and onto the page which is amazing. I'm proud of myself for not flaking on this story.

Future projections:
I need to complete and review my story-world synopsis, then the fun can begin!

I like it.

Your project sounds exciting. You sound like i feel.

I began a thread of a story a couple of days ago and the momentum's building. I'm currently doing research to see what mileage it has and I'm getting pretty excited.

I also looked at my cover letter for the novel I finished in January. I submitted it to 13 agencies and when i read the letter yesterday I thought it was utter crap. So I re-wrote it and now I'm considering re-submitting.

I've also got a script on the go, but now I'm more inclines to go with the novel.

So, no actual writing yesterday, but my fingers are itching to start this story. Maybe today. Basketball

Brilliant idea for a thread. Helpful in actually getting us writing.

Words written: God, hundreds >.<

Time spent writing: Over three hours? Updating my Wordpress, Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn accounts - I'm trying to get this career on the road!

Most difficult aspect: Trying to make my job sound important, and not "Shoe shop lady".

Least difficult aspect: Perusing seamless background images.

How do you feel about it: VERY happy, although it's not writing as such, it's something I won't have to do again for a loooong time. Now my online "hire me" world is pretty much as I want it. Booyeah.

Future projections: More blogging, more tweeting, more videos, more job offers.
