I don't tweet either. Nor do I blog, scrawl on walls or throw cows at people. Although having sid that I have blogged in the past - but gave it up when a bunch of loony unattached overseas females started commenting more on my photograph than on the actual text I was writing.
I might return to it someday...or then again I might not.

Maybe we could start a trend. Build a new website for non tweeters. Tweetless!
Do you think we'll be as rich as that guy who started facebook?

Stranger things have happened. Besides, even if we don't get right - we certainly can't end up being as universally disliked as that Facebook chappie.writingmum wrote:Maybe we could start a trend. Build a new website for non tweeters. Tweetless!

Why is he disliked? Is it because he's responsible for making emails from friends extinct, just as Bill Gates destroyed paper letters? Then there's the guy who invented the kindle (Mr. Kindle) who is surely going to be responsible for making hardbacks extinct.

He appears to be disliked due to the fact that he, allegedly, fleeced his original partners and the actual creators of the concept out of quadzillions of dollars. Not to mention the fact that he's supposedly somewhat...abrasive.writingmum wrote:Why is he disliked? Not just hardbacks are heading for extinction, sadly. It seems this year for the first time sales of ebooks actually outstripped their paperback counterparts. Not a good omen for the pulped tree lovers.

It's terrifying! Or is that word a bit strong? No it is terrifying. I'm not published yet and I want to see my books on a shelf one day.
Where will it all end I wonder? You can't smell the paper on a kindle and I really want a glossy embossed dramatically artistic cover.

Don't worry overly. It's going to be quiet some time before the paper book market is reduced to a charmingly minority interest. So you still have time to open that box and bask in the sheer velvety feel and seductive smell of the glossy embossed dramatically artistic cover of your first publish book.writingmum wrote:It's terrifying! And yes - that's exactly how it felt when I opened the box and took out my first physical copy of Shadowchaser.
