Star Wars Prequel Trilogy?
What do people think about the prequel trilogy, how do you think it could have been done better? What should have not been included? Anything else? I'll start us off, my favourite of the prequel trilogy is Attack of the Clones.
Re: Star Wars Prequel Trilogy?
I dislike all three of them but Phantom Menace is the one that fills me up with rage. Improving the prequal trilogy step 1: Remove Jar-Jar Binks step 2: Get lucas to hire a decent scriptwriter, instead of letting him delude himself into thinking Anakin's opinion of sand makes for an interesting chat-up line.
On another note. Am I the only one who seems confused by the fact that Natalie Portman's character didn't seem to age at all in between Menace and Clones? I don't know if they even made an effort to make her appear older, but if they did they most certainly failed.

Phantom Menace is the one prequel that I actually like. I can even stand Jar Jar. In fact I'd choose Jar Jar as a less annoying character than Anakin any day.

Anakin's problems could have been solved by a quick Prozac. Only way to solve the Jar Jar problem is a shotgun, or possiblt a tactical missle. Anakin is easier to solve therefore Anakin wins.

To be fair, Anakin was solved by three good films...

The prequel trilogy isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. That said, it isn't good, mostly because Lucas thinks he can write humourous dialogue when in fact it's cringeworthy.
The plotline of one is actually okay if you understand the context of the politics (but since I'm a huge SW fanboy admittedly I have a bit of a headstart), and Jar Jar's annoyingness is made up for by Darth Maul being the biggest badass in the galaxy, imo.
Clones is godawful, the plot is nonexistent even compared to one. It basically doesn't get interesting until the end battle.
RotS is probably my favourite, probably since i read the book so some of the gaping plot holes in the film actually make sense to me... It just brings the whole series together, and the CGI stuff in it is by far the most impressive.

clone wars was actually my favorite of the three, only because i enjoy those huge scale battles you see in futuristic films and i preferred the armour in the second one since every different game/comic/toy/animation/tv thingy shows them in different kinds of armour every time and it annoys me. other than that im indifferent to them. they entertain me and pass the time its good enough.......

Re: Star Wars Prequel Trilogy?
The only reason I like clones really, is because of the battle at the end, finally a battle that thrilled me more than the original films (action wise) but as for the story, it is lacking a hell of a lot. the whole story is just about a moody ass Anakin
