AV opinions?
May as well start this section off with some discussion of the hot UK political issue of the hour, the AV referendum.
So what are your thoughts on the subject? Planning to vote in it? Even know what it is? And other interesting things which are vaguely relevant..

Re: AV opinions?
Tempted to vote against it because Clegg wants it and Clegg is a treacherous b@$+@7d!
Re: AV opinions?
I'm voting against. Last thing we need is a system that encourages another coalition.

Re: AV opinions?
Definite NO. If Clegg and Cable are so passionately in favour of it, then that's a sure fire to get me voting the other way.
And if you're a current or future student, just think about what they've done in the past 12 months.

AV VOTE
To be fair, I can barely be bothered to spend 10 seconds in a voting booth by giving a cross in one box. I sure aint gonna waste more time putting them in order..
Re: AV opinions?
Agreed entirely. Hand them this victory and you might as well just hand them your head on a platter. The Co=Ordinator wrote:Definite NO. If Clegg and Cable are so passionately in favour of it, then that's a sure fire to get me voting the other way.

IMHO you should ALWAYS exercise your franchise. It took centuries to achieve, and shouldn't be frittered away.

Re: AV opinions?
AV is just another way of keeping Nick Clegg in government. He's so unpopular now he'll do anything to clinch power, dirty little weasel. Does anyone like Lib Dems anymore? They really, really blew the big chance to be proper political contenders. I almost feel cheap for voting them in the European elections last time.
It's a no of course. First Past the Post, whilst flawed, usually delivers a single, strong party, which is what this country needs. Not Nick Clegg.
P.S. I forgot Nick Clegg had feelings and wasn't a punch bag. My bad.

Re: AV opinions?
Well it was a massive no. Thanks Nick, you f***ed us over on tuition fees for nothing. You should do the right thing and leave the coalition now, get out while you can.
Seriously at the next general election, the Lib Dems will be lucky to get any seats at all.

They got bugger all seats in the Scottish Parliament, like 5 or something! And their leader Tavish Scott resigned and blamed Nick Clegg for the result (which in fairness is correct, everytime he tried to promote a policy or idea he was shot down for being in league with the Torys!)

Re: AV opinions?
Yes, liberals are dead in the water, but then we have a choice of 2, labour or Tory, cameron had some super ideas, shame he delivered them with such an iron fist, softly, softly would have been more popular and with less negative effect, think he's screwed his popularity, 4 years for that to come to fruition, might stand a chance then, labour just overspend on everything, drop us in the poo and deny responsibly, yet they do promote spending in the high street, which will boost the economy, as is much needed.
So what now, who to vote for? I'd go for the one with the silliest name, can't go wrong!
